The Marion United Methodist Church, located 10 minutes from downtown Memphis, Tennessee in Marion, Arkansas, is seeking a new Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries. This is a full-time position to work with our youth, start new small groups for young adults, and better connect both areas with missional engagement of our community. Primary responsibilities include:
Planning weekly meetings and activities for youth
Coordinating Sunday school and bible studies for youth
Organizing new small groups for young adults (particularly persons under 30)
Connect with new young adults in our community and congregation
Work towards missional engagement with our youth and young adults within our congregation and community
A successful candidate will:
Be a team player, working towards a common vision
Be devoted to making disciples and spreading the gospel
Well organized and a long-term planner
Have a history of working with youth and/or young adults successfully
Be willing to take risks and start something new
Other requirements include:
College degree
At least 3 years of experience
Willing to relocate to the Marion-West Memphis area

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
